Overview

SIG seeks an Acquisitions Program SME with a strong background in federal government consulting. You will be supporting the FAA as a functional subject matter expert (SME) experienced with developing and conducting training targeted to the Acquisition Workforce.

Salary: $150,000 to $185,000

Additionally, this position is expected to be generally remote with some customer visits in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Experience with developing and conducting training targeted to the FAA Acquisition Workforce.
  • Possess knowledge of the Acquisition Workforce, the FAA budget process, and development and conducting training.
  • Support the FAA Support Contract Review Board (SCRB).
  • Conduct contracts data research and develop outputs to enhance current SCRB and CFO processes and roles.
  • Create and deploy Expiring Contracts schedules for all LOB/SOs to be utilized by the SCRB and Office of Acquisition Oversight (AFI-500).
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Contract Review and Submission process.
  • Conduct community outreach to enhance the AFI-500 process for contract review and submission process.
  • Conduct community outreach with the FAA Chiefs of Staff across the Agency to enhance AFI-500 processes
  • Design, deploy, and facilitate Agency-wide training courses at FAA for federal employees and contractors as needed
  • Renovate and maintain updates for the AFI-500 FAA Website on the FAA intranet as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
  • Ability to work remotely with availability for on-site work at FAA office in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as needed
  • Direct experience in FAA acquisition and financial processes, including AMS procedures, CFO package coordination, and program governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project management, case reporting, and strategic planning
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Open collaborative style; ability to work in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
  • Superior information visualization skills
  • Reside or intend to reside in or near the Washington, DC metropolitan area
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Must have ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
