Job summary

3M is seeking a Finance Analytics & Automation (FA&A) Developer to design, build, and optimize Snowflake objects and Power BI models. You will work with Controllers, Treasury, and IT across global sites to deliver scalable reporting solutions that drive finance analytics and governance.

The role emphasizes SQL development, data integration, and maintaining data quality while aligning with Agile practices and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of IT, Data Analytics, Reporting & Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or FP&A experience.
• One (1) year of hands-on experience using SQL to write complex queries for analytics, reporting, and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake database objects to support finance analytics and reporting needs.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and backend data logic for reporting and analytics.
• Partner with Controllers, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Manufacturing, IT, and data teams across global locations.
• Analyze and integrate data across multiple systems to improve data quality and visibility.
• Support development and maintenance of Power BI semantic models for scalable reporting.
• Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues with root-cause analysis.
• Provide ongoing support for user-reported issues and tickets to maintain reporting accuracy.
• Monitor data processes, troubleshoot, and implement fixes or workarounds as needed.
• Suggest improvements to data design, performance, and automation; contribute to Agile practices.
• Stay current on cloud data platforms and BI modeling to identify innovative solutions.
