Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced F5 Network Administrator to support a modernized data center. The role centers on managing F5 BIG-IP platforms, load balancing, security, and automation in a 5+ year networking environment.

The candidate will work onsite in Dallas or Oklahoma City, collaborating with infrastructure, systems, and security teams to ensure uptime and optimal delivery of applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional networking experience.
• At least 1 year of F5 administration in production.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, and data center networks.
• Hands-on with F5 BIG-IP modules: LTM, APM, WAF/ASM, DNS/GTM.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and L4-L7 networking.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration tools, or REST APIs.
• Knowledge of certificate management, PKI, and secure network design.
• Degree not required; relevant experience prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Administer F5 BIG-IP services across traffic management, access, WAF, and DNS functions.
• Create and maintain load-balancing configurations with virtual servers and pools.
• Write iRules and automate via Ansible, Terraform, and APIs.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and renewal processes.
• Tune WAF controls, bot protection, and DDoS defenses.
• Support F5 Distributed Cloud services and cloud load balancing.
• Diagnose connectivity and delivery issues and coordinate upgrades.
• Support routing, switching, and data center operations.
• Collaborate with systems, security, and applications teams; maintain documentation.
• Maintain technical documentation and best practices for F5 configurations.
