F135 Fleet Support & Services is seeking a motivated, diligent, self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills to represent Pratt & Whitney at the F-35 Final Assembly & Checkout (FACO) and Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade (MROU) operations co-located at Cameri, Italy, as a Site Manager and Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is a customer-facing role in a high visibility, team-oriented environment supporting CTOL and STOVL propulsion systems during air vehicle production and depot operations of Italian and multinational aircraft.

What You Will Do:

This assignment has a minimum 3-year in-country commitment; maximum 5-years in-country.

• Responsible for overseeing the local PW support team, comprised of an additional FSE and two technicians, requiring effective supervision, documentation, and quality control of all work performed in accordance with local and LPMC processes; additionally, this position serves as a reporting function, an escalation point for service delivery, and a central contact for future Site support planning.
• Support F-35/F135 operations to include systems, tooling, material, and processes; the FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft and act as primary propulsion focal point for ItAF & Industry personnel. Perform controls activities related to aircraft download processing and analysis and monitoring of propulsion system Prognostic Health Monitoring, Engine Health Reporting Codes, and Maintenance Built in Test Systems (MBITS).
• Advise and assist the Customer in performance of F135 propulsion system maintenance, ensuring activities are performed in accordance with technical data and safe engine operation and maintenance procedures. Coordinate F135 propulsion system maintenance activities with the PW team, Leonardo, and Lockheed Martin.
• Collaborate regularly with internal PW teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams, etc.) in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging Customer issues and maintain flexibility to adapt to and resolve constantly changing Customer priorities.
• Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption. Support Government Property Management processes for program execution, to include but not limited to Support Equipment (SE), tooling, supply and Government processes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A Bachelor’s degree is required. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate / related experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in aircraft gas turbine engine maintenance, logistics, or logistics support. This includes Supply Chain management and Support Equipment management.
• Must be able to support a minimum assignment length of 3+ years, dependent on business needs and personal development. Must be able to support occasional off-shift coverage and/or extended hours in support of the local production and depot delivery schedules.
• At least 3 years of managerial, supervisory and leadership experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or a technical field.
• Experience with aviation maintenance and production information systems, to include Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) / OBPHM, as well as knowledge of turbine engine theory and operation.
• Experience in F-35/F135 production, flight testing, Customer support, maintenance, and/or program management.
• Familiarity with Global Trade Compliance/Export requirements and strong CORE leadership are desirable.
• Prior military service in maintenance/logistics also a plus.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
