Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering student for the F135 Base High-Pressure Compressor Design Internship at Pratt & Whitney. You will contribute to the design and development of advanced aerospace solutions and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative results.

You will analyze non-conformances, support producibility, and communicate results to customers and program management; relocation eligibility may apply, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the intern session.
• Experience with NX Unigraphics or similar Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
• Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and technically sound design solutions within program schedule milestones.
• Analyze and resolve non-conformances for new and fielded parts.
• Support the creation of serviceable limits for engine part defects.
• Investigate military engine field incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Assist with producibility improvement efforts in collaboration with manufacturing vendors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Present and communicate results to customers and program management.
