The Columbus Engine Center (CEC) is seeking a pragmatic, technically curious, and agile Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the Military Engine Center of Excellence (MECoE), maintaining and overhauling the F100 and F117 engines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining engine workscopes and work instructions for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of F100 & F117 engines.
  • Providing engineering support to other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations, materials, and customer support.
  • Developing and maintaining life-limited part reports and engine-specific bill-of-materials (BOM), including updates for Service Bulletins/TCTOs, Airworthiness Directives, and other requirements.
  • Supporting troubleshooting of rejected engines in test cell, collaborating with testing engineering for technical resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Seeking opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency through new materials, processes, or technology, and participating in project development and implementation.
  • Providing engineering support in response to production constraints as needed.

What You Will Learn:

  • Gain comprehensive technical knowledge of aircraft propulsion, expanding your understanding of engine systems and sub-assemblies.
  • Enhance project management skills, with high visibility within the F117 program, serving as a milestone for engineers transitioning to technical program roles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment within Engineering, Quality, Operations, or Supply Chain, or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required for access to program-specific information.

Preferred Experience:

  • Reading and interpreting engine manuals or technical orders (e.g., USAF TO or TCTO).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP systems.
  • Experience with Solumina G8 or equivalent MES systems.
  • Background in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engines or aerospace.

Additional Information:

This role is onsite at Columbus, GA, with a salary range of $82,000 - $164,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
