Job description

Seeking a professional Security Officer with experience in commercial buildings to staff one of our Queen locations.

A valid NYS Security Guard license is required.

Candidates should be very presentable, well-spoken, and willing to be part of a team.

Fire panel experience is a plus.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday 11PM-7AM
• Saturday/Sunday 11PM-11AM
• Saturday/Sunday 11AM-11PM

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Meet and maintain any applicable state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers
• Be tech-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Maintain a clean-cut, corporate appearance
• Remain professional and composed in unusual circumstances
• Have a courteous telephone manner
• Write routine logs and reports
• Have good organizational skills
• Provide high-quality customer service
• Interact effectively across diverse social and cultural levels
• Communicate clearly to observe, report incidents, and direct others

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current New York State Security Guard License
• Current New York State Training Certifications (16 HR OJT and/or 8 HR Annual)
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, and typing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Starting pay rate: $17.38 per hour
