Job Description

A local non-profit is currently accepting applications for a full-time Seasonal Northern Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to join our agency. The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, at a pay rate of $17.10/hr. The crew leader will assist the Landscape Maintenance Manager and Assistant in the daily operations of the Northern Landscape Maintenance Crew.

NORTHERN LAWN CREW LEADER DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  1. Ensure all work is performed according to the Statement of Work, including Winter Parking Lot & Ramp Maintenance/Grounds Maintenance.
  2. Work at various job locations with the landscape crews performing grounds maintenance.
  3. Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on lawn equipment.
  4. Operate all equipment necessary for required services, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power pruners, chainsaws, and other tools.
  5. Train new employees in the safe operation of equipment.
  6. Submit required reports such as monthly expense reports and timesheets.
  7. Report any concerns or personnel issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical training or college degree (preferred)
  • Background in landscape or mechanical work
  • Leadership qualities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, kneeling, bending, and walking
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
  • Clean driving record to operate agency vehicles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
