Psychiatrist – On-Site

Schedule: On-site; M-F + On-Call 2 weekends/month

Compensation: Up to $350,000 annual salary (based on experience and contract type)

Location: Johnstown, PA (Sign-on or Relocation Bonus if eligible)

Position Summary

The MindCare Psychiatrist will provide either all inpatient or traditional inpatient/outpatient support and oversight to the medical division within MindCare Solutions.

Responsibilities

• On call weekend coverage for the inpatient unit, ED, or acute care units.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Perform chart audits, peer reviews, attend meetings, manage providers, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to ensure all services are documented; review patient status to verify completion of treatment and therapeutic programs.
• Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute episodes, and work proactively to prevent incidents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contracts.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice psychiatry in PA.
• Minimum 2 years inpatient experience, including trauma care.
• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
• Valid and unrestricted DEA license in PA.
• Proficient in using Telemedicine technologies for remote treatment.
• Open to collaboration with PMHNPs (preferred).
