Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or ERP Consultant.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and ERP systems.
  • Experience with Production Control, Master Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Warehouse Management.
  • Experience performing requirements gathering, gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and end users to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Conduct process discovery workshops, fit‑gap analysis, and business process mapping.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design future‑state processes aligned with industry best practices and D365 capabilities.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations to support operational transformation initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs and system solutions.
  • Configure and support D365 F&O manufacturing and supply chain modules.
  • Collaborate with developers and technical architects on customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Create FDDs, requirements documentation, and solution specifications.
  • Participate in full lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects.
  • Support Production Control, Master Planning, BOMs, Routings, MRP, Inventory, and Procurement processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing operations and recommend improvements to inventory accuracy, planning efficiency, and shop floor execution.
  • Work closely with production, operations, warehousing, procurement, and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure solutions support lean manufacturing principles and operational best practices.
  • Lead UAT activities and defect resolution.
  • Develop test scripts, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Deliver user training and change management support.
  • Provide post‑go‑live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and work with technical teams to resolve system defects.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Business Analysis Manufacturing Consultant to support the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations within a manufacturing environment. This individual will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational requirements into scalable D365 solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and performance across manufacturing and supply chain processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis skills, deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, and hands‑on experience with D365 F&O modules including Production Control, Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Master Planning, and Warehouse Management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Partner with business leaders and end users to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Conduct process discovery workshops, fit‑gap analysis, and business process mapping.

  • Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs), requirements documentation, and solution specifications.
  • Participate in full lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Expertise
  • Support Production Control, Master Planning, BOMs, Routings, MRP, Inventory, and Procurement processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing operations and recommend improvements to inventory accuracy, planning efficiency, and shop floor execution.
  • Work closely with production, operations, warehousing, procurement, and supply chain teams.

Testing, Training & Support
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and defect resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, Azure DevOps, or Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related certifications.
  • Previous experience with Dynamics AX 2012 or legacy ERP platforms.
