Job summary

Goldbelt Tram in Juneau, Alaska, seeks an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to coordinate all restaurant operations, catering, and dining services aboard the tramway. You will lead staff to deliver profitable, high‑quality service that enhances the tramway experience.

Responsibilities include budgeting, payroll approval, event setup and execution, vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with safety and liquor laws while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years Food and Beverage (F&B) service management within the past four (4) years.
• Ability to obtain a ServSafe Manager (SSMC) certification.
• Ability to obtain a TAPs card (Training for Alcohol Professionals).
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
• Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the Tramway's restaurant and food and beverage operations and services, striving to meet profitability and top-quality service.
• Supervise, train, schedule, counsel, evaluate and discipline staff; arrange training for employees in all aspects of F&B service.
• Coordinate catering functions including setup, event execution and clean up; ensure banquet bills are posted.
• Manage budget per the Tramway’s annual plan; assist with purchasing and inventories.
• Ensure presentation of all food and beverage items meets standards; communicate variations to GM and supervisors.
• Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment; support in absences and peak hours.
