What You Will Do As a F&B Manager
  • Effectively manages staff and maintains service levels for the F&B Outlets. Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always identifies repeat guests. Ensures staff is friendly and welcoming at all times.
  • Maintains working knowledge of F&B Operation’s internal functions, controls and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes.
  • Ensures efficiency and accurate performance standards are met by maintaining communication with all work areas to verify paperwork and inventory controls.
  • Maintains a professional rapport and confidentiality in communicating with other departments as required by procedure (i.e., IT, Gaming Commission, Security, Surveillance, Games Dept., Police, Payroll, HR, and Marketing).
  • Trains and develops employees in F&B Operations, monitors business flow to develop efficient training, break, and shift schedules.
  • Accurately tracks and records LOAs, vacation time, EOs, call-outs, and special requests.
  • Assists F&B employees at designated outlet locations as needed.
  • Monitors inventory of all F&B supplies, orders supplies as needed, and monitors inventory costs against budget.
  • Supports outlet staff as required by business needs.
  • Ensures timely receipt of sales slip reports and trains staff in tip declaration process.
  • Monitors recruitment needs, interviews candidates, and makes informed hiring decisions in consultation with HR and the Operations Manager.
  • Oversees, monitors, and delegates F&B operations at assigned outlets, including cleanliness, lighting, repairs, etc.
  • Maintains high quality of food and service within the outlet.
  • Implements and maintains a full-service alcoholic beverage operation.
  • Assists in preparing annual budgets, operating forecasts, and departmental analyses.
  • Keeps updated on menu offerings and food preparation standards for a multi-concept restaurant.
  • Ensures timely and accurate table service of made-to-order items, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.

Work Experience

To be successful as a F&B Manager, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency (College degree preferred)
  • 5+ years management experience in a multi-concept restaurant or diverse culinary environment
  • Experience with alcoholic beverage service and handling
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • Money handling experience and basic math skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask
  • Decision-making skills under stress and flexible work schedule
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 10 lbs
