Job summary

Chinook Winds Casino Resort is seeking an attentive restaurant team member to assist guests from greeting to seating and dining service. You will take orders, prepare and dispense food, and handle payments in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, customer service, and awareness of events and services offered by the resort. Candidates must be 18+ and able to meet license requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service in any of our restaurants by performing tasks including greeting & seating guests, preparing & dispensing food, and totaling tickets & accepting payment.

Essential Functions

• Operates cash registers to accept payment including monetary, coupons, and comp slips.
• Makes change when applicable.
• Greets guests and seats them at tables suitable to their needs as necessary.
• Takes, prepares, and dispenses food orders as necessary.
• Prepare cash receipts at closing.
• Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Speaks with customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Performs general upkeep to designated areas. Stock merchandise and supplies as needed.
• Assists other floor personnel on an as needed basis.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
• Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.

Certificates & Licenses

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Must obtain OLCC temporary permit before the start date and have OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.

Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.

Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of employment.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
