A leading organization in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee the accounting department's operations. The role involves maintaining accounts payable, supervising staff, and ensuring timely completion of financial tasks. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and have experience in organizational accounting, preferably within non-profit or real estate sectors. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
Coordinate efforts of department staff and assist in performing all functions required for the efficient operation of the accounting department, with particular attention given to maintaining a high level of quality and to completing assignments on a timely basis. Communicate effectively with the Director of Accounting regarding the status of work. Effectively supervise PPP Senior Accountant. Coordinate with Program and Real Estate Senior Accountants on assigned tasks and responsibilities. Be able and flexible to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Accountancy. Minimum three years in organizational accounting, with preferred experience in not-for-profit and/or Real estate sectors.
JOB TASKS
SHIFT: Monday – Friday, hours vary between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., with evenings and weekends as needed.
