Job summary

Resicum International LLC is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I – Ordnance Team Member to support organizational-level maintenance for F/A-18 aircraft at NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing ordnance systems, complying with explosive safety and Navy procedures, and supporting flight-line operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience, with experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience performing aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing.
  • Working knowledge of F/A-18 aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and applicable technical publications.
  • Experience performing maintenance on aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, structural, and flight control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft ordnance systems, armament equipment, weapons release systems, and explosive safety procedures.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft electrical systems sufficient to support aircraft and ordnance system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, MIMs, IPBs, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and other approved technical publications.
  • Experience using aircraft maintenance support equipment, precision measuring instruments, specialized aircraft maintenance tools, and aircraft test equipment.
  • Ability to remove, install, rig, align, adjust, troubleshoot, and operationally test aircraft and ordnance system components.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling, explosive safety, FOD prevention, and TCP requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules.
  • Ability to work under guidance of senior maintenance personnel while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, remove, and test aircraft ordnance and armament systems.
  • Maintain and repair weapons release systems, bomb racks, ejector racks, missile launchers, launch rails, gun systems, and related components.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft discrepancies using technical publications and diagnostic equipment.
  • Remove, replace, rig, align, adjust, and test components.
  • Conduct preflight, turnaround, post-flight, conditional, and special inspections.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, configuring, and maintaining aircraft ordnance systems per procedures.
  • Perform checks to verify serviceability of aircraft and ordnance systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and publications.
  • Perform routine aircraft servicing and lubrication.
  • Assist with aircraft towing, jacking, recovery, and ground handling.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, measuring instruments, test equipment.
  • Assist in inspection and maintenance of explosive devices and ordnance components.
  • Document maintenance actions and log entries per Navy requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance with senior staff and government reps.
  • Maintain compliance with FOD, TCP, explosive safety, hazardous materials handling, environmental, OSHA.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
