Job summary

DCS Corp in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the F/A-18 A–D Hornet Team. Responsibilities include requirements development, subsystem integration, interface definition, test planning and execution, and technical documentation. Ideal candidate has a foundation in systems engineering, can break complex problems into manageable elements, and coordinate with engineers and leadership.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline listed or related field with 1+ year relevant experience.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Experience with requirements decomposition and traceability.
Experience with system or subsystem architecture and design.
Experience with test planning, procedures, execution, or results analysis.
Experience with technical documentation and peer reviews.
Ability to understand interactions among multiple hardware, software, and subsystem elements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel if required.

Responsibilities

Decompose system-level requirements into clear, traceable requirements.
Develop, review, and update systems-engineering documentation.
Support requirement implementation and analysis, including data exchange between subsystems.
Develop test and evaluation products with objectives, tests, procedures, expected results, and discrepancy documentation.
Support execution of system, subsystem, integration, and regression tests and analyze results.
Plan and coordinate integration across F/A-18 subsystems and related teams.
Analyze technical issues and propose practical engineering solutions and corrective actions.
Coordinate with project officers and technical team members to verify requirements.
Prepare technical status updates, risk items, and briefing materials for teams and leadership.
Participate in peer reviews of requirements, interfaces, tests, and architecture documents.
Work with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally.
Travel as required.
