Job summary

AVMAC LLC is seeking a skilled F/A-18 COM/NAV Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) to inspect, install, troubleshoot, and repair COM/NAV systems on F/A-18 aircraft in accordance with NAMP standards.

The role requires pursuing CDI, Level II COMNAV experience, and strong knowledge of naval maintenance publications, manuals, and NALCOMIS. Candidates must be detail-oriented with the ability to work on hangar and flightline environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and ability to operate support equipment.
• Five years of COMNAV Technician experience (Level II).
• Ability to attain Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) within required timeframe.
• Working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in F/A-18 airframe, weapons, and engine electrical systems at organizational level.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine repair methods.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior technicians across modifications and maintenance.
