Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking a Weapon System Software Integration Engineer for the F-35 program at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and evaluating software integration tasks to support certification for USAF/USMC/USN weapon systems.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering or STEM, 12+ years in weapon or aircraft systems, and 5+ years of airborne weapons integration experience, with DoD lifecycle knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.
• BS in Engineering or STEM with 12+ years relevant experience in a Weapon or Aircraft Systems PMO.
• 5+ years integrating airborne weapons systems, including systems/software engineering, test, and/or program management.
• Working knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle process and relevancy to weapon systems.
• Knowledge of fighter aircraft weapons, practices and policies is preferable.
• Strong ability to analyze weapons program information and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
• Travel: 1–2 times per month with 3–5 days per trip; foreign travel possible.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor software-related integration activities for F-35 weapon systems.
• Support a team of F-35 Weapon Integrators and provide technical recommendations.
• Maintain software sustainment oversight and align roadmaps with W SPOs and Lockheed Martin.
• Track weapon software updates and provide testing recommendations to update certifications.
• Review software documentation and provide engineering assessments for certification.
• Support meetings and serve as government interface manager when required.
• Review DT flight clearances and advise concurrence or rejection to the Government.
• Coordinate test activities and provide inputs to flight test planning.
• Prepare monthly inputs to AV/MS briefings to leadership.
