Our work depends on a Senior Information Assurance Security Engineer (Air Systems) to provide knowledge-based information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 Directorate of Cyber Integration (DCI) supporting the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO) in Arlington, VA.

The F-35 Lightning II Program is the DoD's focal point for next-generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and allies. The program integrates cutting-edge technologies to ensure the aircraft's effectiveness and survivability.

How our Senior Information Assurance Security Specialist (Air Systems) will make an impact:

• Conduct information system security engineering activities.
• Capture and refine Aircraft System and Ground Support security requirements and ensure their effective integration into the systems through security architecture, design, development, and configuration.
• Implement security requirements within the F-35 Air System, including secure design, architecture, and coding techniques.
• Ensure security features and safeguards are incorporated during design, development, and implementation.
• Provide daily cybersecurity engineering support; oversee related deliverables and verify POA&M resolution and monitoring activities.
• Ensure accurate and complete Security Authorization Packages (SAP) for government oversight.
• Witness compliance testing in preparation for Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
• Manage embedded resources, train and support other ISSE/IASAEs, and advise DCI leadership.
• Interpret requirements into security designs aligned with systems engineering and cybersecurity mandates.
• Develop cybersecurity policies and instructions for program-wide issuance.
• Provide expertise on interoperability, security, and performance parameters.
• Lead and support the Air Systems support team.

What you’ll need to succeed (Required):

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 10+ years designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems, employing security controls and engineering principles.
• 1+ years of airframe/weapon system security experience in secure network and system design, analysis, and testing.
• 5+ years working on weapons systems platforms as a security engineer.
• 8+ years in system security Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Vulnerability Assessment/Risk Analysis.
• Certifications: DoD Manual 8140.03 (612) Security Control Accessor - Intermediate.
• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field; substitutions permitted for specific defense experience.

Work Location: Hybrid support in Orlando, FL; Eglin AFB, FL; Fort Worth, TX; Arlington, VA; Patuxent River, MD; Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
