Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, launch and recovery on F-35 aircraft.

The role requires ability to work night shifts with flexibility to rotate across all shifts, and to travel up to 10% for temporary duty assignments. The position requires a Secret clearance, strong mechanical/airframe experience and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical data.

Qualifications

• Active Government Secret clearance or higher (with BI in last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
• Physical ability to perform strenuous work (lifting up to 50 pounds) and work in confined spaces
• Must pass medical/respiratory evaluation and a 5-year flightline physical
• Reading and interpreting technical data and blueprints; fault isolation and repair
• Flexibility to rotate across shifts and travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance, Repair, Launch, and Recovery on F-35 aircraft
• Configure aircraft for modifications and assembly/disassembly of hardware
• Ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness per JTD and program guidance
• Assist with on-the-job training for team members
• Maintain aircraft records in CMMS (ALIS)
• Produce status updates to production staff
• Perform APG/airframe tasks as part of CLS for F-35
• Obtain required certifications (e.g., confined space, borescope) as needed
• Depart on temporary duty assignments and support other CLS locations
• Rotate across Night/1st/2nd/3rd shifts and weekends as required
