Job summary

AAR Corp. in Florida is seeking an experienced F-16 Maintenance Supervisor to plan and direct maintenance operations for shifts, ensuring policy and procedures are followed to achieve goals.

You will supervise workloads, review Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, and locate parts using technical data to perform repairs. Strong knowledge of F-16 avionics and systems, plus English proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • At least 10 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.
  • Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable in F-16 aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement.
  • Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree + 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
Associate's degree + 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
High School Diploma + 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance

SUMMARY

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
    • A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
    • An Associate's degree plus 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
    • High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
  • At least 10 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.
  • Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
