F-15 Information Systems Security Officer

LOCATION: Robins Air Force Base

JOB STATUS: Full time

CLEARANCE: TOP SECRET

CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO), Security+ certification

TRAVEL: Occasional CONUS travel may be required

Astrion has an exciting opportunity at Robins AFB for a Journeyman Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) on the F-15 Program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Active TS clearance
  • CISSO and Security+ certifications
  • Minimum of BS degree in a computer science or engineering discipline
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support compliance with security directives such as RMF, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, JSIG, and NIST 800-53.
  • Manage certification and accreditation of computer networks and standalone systems, including preparing and maintaining System Security Plans.
  • Support the technical implementation and oversight of the F-15 Division's AIS security program, addressing complex problems requiring interpretation of standards.
  • Review, analyze, and develop system descriptions (unclassified/classified) for AIS.
  • Ensure implementation of DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies; develop local processes for security program execution.
  • Perform security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct technical analyses of AIS applications, software, and equipment to evaluate security effectiveness.
  • Evaluate security software versions and oversee their installation.
  • Interview personnel, review documentation, and draft policies to resolve security issues.
  • Prepare security plans for classified systems.
  • Monitor system activities, handle security incidents, and ensure proper system sanitization.
  • Propose and implement improvements to security and management processes.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections of the SAP AIS program.
  • Manage COMSEC equipment, ensure physical security, and respond to alarms as required.
