Job summary

Luxottica in McDonough, GA is seeking an Assistant Supervisor for a 12-hour shift to manage day-to-day distribution operations, staff, and packing functions in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise, plan, and schedule staff; conduct interviews for new hires; monitor operations against plans; perform evaluations; train new associates; and maintain accuracy. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work flexible hours, including overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of diversified duties in logistics/distribution.
• Experience operating power equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Effective interaction with corporate and non-corporate personnel.
• Flexibility to shift priorities based on business needs.
• Strong numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, plans, organizes and solves problems for distribution departmental functions.
• Schedules staff and monitors daily operations and department plans.
• Conducts interviews for new hire associates and makes recommendations.
• Monitors daily operations to business and department plans.
• Performs performance evaluations and provides associate guidance as needed.
• Monitors and performs follow‑up for associate accuracy.
• Conducts audits to ensure associate accuracy.
• Communicates daily with the operations manager.
• Conducts training for newly hired associates.
