Job summary

Eyelet Toolmaker opportunity at Jobot in Waterbury, CT. The role builds, repairs, and maintains precision tooling used in high-volume battery component production, ensuring dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges operate safely and to spec.

The 2nd shift is emphasized to minimize downtime and respond to urgent tooling needs. Expect strong collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams, plus opportunities for skill development.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of Toolmaker experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and interpret CAD models.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, repair, and maintain production tooling (dies, molds, fixtures, gauges).
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues affecting quality, yield or uptime.
• Perform precision machining with mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and GD&T; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support tooling qualifications for launches.
