JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care and delivers the store’s key performance indicators by integrating the Brand Story and ensuring flawless execution of the patient experience.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers promptly (within 30 seconds).
• Answers phone promptly (within 3 rings) in a friendly manner.
• Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with optician, managing doctor, or retail management as needed.
• Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers.
• Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves issues quickly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of appointment booking/scheduling procedures and computer operation.
• Maintains patient records in an organized manner in accordance with HIPAA.
• Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment.
• Operate POS system accurately, entering customer/patient and prescription info with attention to detail.
• Collects payment following security procedures and retains proper change for various transaction types.
• Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times to customers.
• Maintains store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines.
• Maintains a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
• Responds quickly to store promotion changes with appropriate staff communications and point‑of‑purchase materials.

RETAIL

• Demonstrates product knowledge; accurately describes features and benefits of lenses and frames.
• Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses best suited for their vision, lifestyle and budget.

DOCTOR’S OFFICE

• Performs pre‑examination testing accurately and explains measurements to patients.
• Provides coaching and guidance on contact lens care and handling.
• Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; provides clinical support to the optometrist as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem‑solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay Range: 20.67 - 29.22

This position is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
