Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Health System at the Main Campus in Cleveland as a Surgical Technologist in the Cole Eye OR. You will support surgeons and RNs in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting, preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and assisting with sterilization and intraoperative processes.

The role includes day shifts with on-call requirements, a 7:00am-5:30pm schedule, and a collaborative team culture focused on excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program OR certified as a Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST), or completion of military Surgical Technology Program.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub functions and assist in circulating under the direction of an RN.
• Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges and instruments during surgery.
• Assist gowning/gloving and draping of the surgical team.
• Maintain aseptic conditions throughout the procedure.
• Participate in intraoperative timeouts and assist with specimen labeling and disposition.
