Job summary

Golden Valley Health Centers in Modesto, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Optometry/Ophthalmology clinic. The MA performs nursing procedures, patient registration tasks, and assists in eye care under the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor and providers.

This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assisting certificate, and current AHA BLS CPR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Medical Assisting certificate from an accredited program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing procedures and patient registration tasks per site protocols.
• Assists in eye care, including tonometry, lensometry, and automated refraction under supervision.
• Maintains patient flow and coordinates with Clinic Supervisor and care team.
