Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an enthusiastic Eye Care District Manager to guide our growing network of eye doctors. You’ll lead a talented team of optometrists across multiple locations, collaborate with retail field leaders to drive business success, and execute operational initiatives that ensure we provide best-in-class service.

We’re looking for a Doctor of Optometry with 2+ years of clinical practice and 1+ years of leadership, plus a data-driven approach to mentoring ODs and enhancing patient

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry with 2+ years of clinical practice and 1+ years of leadership
• Data-driven clinical leader able to mentor and build relationships with ODs
• Empathetic and collaborative with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with multitasking
• Proficient with healthcare tech systems like DrChrono and EHRs

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams of employed and independent optometrists, fostering engagement, development and retention
• Provide onboarding, mentorship, and career development for ODs
• Collaborate with eye care leadership and retail field leaders to align on strategic objectives and improve operations
• Deliver exceptional patient care with personalized eye exam experiences
• Assess KPIs (exam growth, patient satisfaction) and set targets for continuous improvement
• Optimize OD scheduling and recruitment to meet patient demand
• Lead interview process for ODs in the market and ensure alignment with values
• Support recruitment efforts and relationships with optometry schools and associations
• Ensure performance management and a positive work environment
• Travel to store locations to support teams and leadership goals
