Job summary

Premier Eye Associates in Prattville, AL, is seeking a friendly Eye Care Assistant to support front-d desk, clinical technician, and optical duties with on-the-job training. No prior eye care experience required; candidates should be dependable, eager to learn, and willing to rotate across the practice to deliver exceptional patient care.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends, competitive benefits including health, vision, dental, PTO, and opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Receptionist or front-office experience helpful.
• Healthcare or eye care exposure beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, assist with check-in and check-out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and support front-office operations.
• Guide patients through health histories, pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and other clinical aspects of their visit.
• Assist doctors with patient flow, contact lens services, pre- and post-operative care, and patient education.
• Help patients with frame selection, eyewear options, and other optical services.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with patient paperwork and information.
• Educate patients about routine, preventative, and medical eye care.
• Provide friendly, attentive service while helping wherever needed across the practice.
