Job summary

EY-Parthenon in the United States is seeking a Senior Associate-Consultant to join the Strategy and Execution Value Creation practice. This role focuses on operational improvements, EBITDA upside, due diligence, and post‑acquisition value creation across complex transactions.

You will work on advisory projects spanning purchase, integration, performance improvement and exit readiness, collaborating with lead clients and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with ~18 months of related work experience.
• Strategy and operations management consulting experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into insights.
• Experience in operational due diligence, restructuring, and performance improvement.
• Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
• Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
• Ability to prioritize on projects and adapt quickly to challenges.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and ability to build relationships.
• Must reside in or commute to the office; travel may be required.

Within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Value Creation practice helps PE firms, their portfolio companies, and corporate companies realize better returns by unlocking value and accelerating time to money through targeted operational improvements. We rapidly define, quantify, and help realize significant incremental and sustainable value through revenue enhancement, cost and margin improvement and working capital reduction.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Associate‑Consultant in EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution Value Creation practice, you will be a vital member of the team executing operational focused projects. You will work on projects that span the entire lifecycle of a transaction, including operational due diligence where we focus on EBITDA upside and operational risk; buy side carve out and integration planning to ensure a newly spun out business can stand alone and a merger quickly realize and grow anticipated synergies; post‑acquisition 100 day and value creation planning; ongoing performance improvement; and exit readiness planning to inform an optimal strategy for maximizing returns and ensuring the buyer is well positioned to continue to enhance value.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
• Strategy and operations management consulting experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills, and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.Experience in operational due diligence, operational restructuring, and performance improvement.
• Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve‑outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
• Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
• The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long‑lasting relationships both internally and externally.
• You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you will have

• A proven record of excellence in a transactions role.
• Experience working in operational improvement in a corporate setting.
• Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
• MBA is preferred.
• Dynamic individuals who thrive in ambiguous situations to help clients solve their most critical strategic, business, and economic challenges.
• Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,000 to $205,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
