Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands North Brunswick is seeking an Extrusion Technician for the 3rd shift in New Jersey. You will support production by running line changeovers, cleaning dies and calibrators, and assisting with equipment startups to ensure safe, stable operations.

The role demands mechanical aptitude, hands-on tool work, and adherence to safety standards. Competitive hourly pay, a $1 shift differential, and full-time benefits are offered to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; extrusion, machine setup, or line changeover experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment is valued.

Responsibilities

• Check the area for safety and 5S compliance; report concerns or abnormal conditions to the Extrusion Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Participate in Winning Impact Meetings (WIT) prepared to share equipment status, changeover progress, and production priorities.
• Complete extrusion line changeovers according to production schedules, standard work, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Clean calibrators according to established standard work to prepare equipment for production.
• Clean dies according to established standard work to prepare equipment for production.
• Use appropriate tools and follow setup, disassembly, and reassembly procedures during changeovers and extrusion support activities.
• Assist with extrusion line startups to support safe, stable production.
• Support operators with daily production needs and communicate equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and leave tools and equipment ready for the oncoming shift.
