Novolex in Frankfort, IL is seeking an Extrusion Team Lead to oversee night-shift operations on the 7pm–7am schedule. You will manage machinery, ensure GMP compliance, and drive productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will set up extrusion lines, adjust roll gaps precisely, assign tasks, and coach crew for performance. The role demands mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and operate in high-temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure GMP, safety and quality procedures are followed and productivity standards are met.
• Perform tooling changes and restart extruder safely and efficiently.
• Produce parts meeting quality specs at or above required rates.
• Develop speed and accuracy in machine tear-down and setup.
• Assign employees to stations and monitor shift performance.
