Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Quality Technician for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) at the North Brunswick Township, NJ site to inspect extruded PVC profiles and ensure product conformance throughout production. You will perform in-process and final inspections, using precision gauges and measurement tools, and document results accordingly.

Responsibilities include supporting root cause analysis, containment of nonconforming material, and ensuring traceability across batches.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, profile gauges, height gauges, wall thickness gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional specifications, quality standards, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Ability to identify cosmetic and dimensional defects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and conversions.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and accurately interpret dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods.
• Uses precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions.
• Documents defects and maintains product traceability.
• Works with Extrusion Operators to address process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Assists with startup approvals and first article inspections.
