Job summary

Amcor in Griffin, GA seeks a production operator to run extrusion equipment, ensure product quality, and maintain safety and cleanliness. You will perform changeovers, manage raw materials, and document production data daily.

The role requires the ability to stand 12 hours, lift up to 80 lbs, and work within GMP guidelines. Responsibilities include quality checks, line setup, safety compliance, and collaboration with supervision to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Trained in PVC manufacturing procedures for Winder Operator.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to properly use a tape measure and calculator.
• Reports maintenance and safety issues to shift supervision.
• Ability to safely operate and adjust heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and product requirements per work orders.
• Make boxes and wax cores to fulfill work order requirements on production line.
• Maintain adequate raw material levels to run line smoothly.
• Perform first piece, periodic and final quality checks (weight, width, footage, stretch, core length, packaging).
• Assist with changeovers, line threading, and setup tasks to run lines in operation.
• Record production data on work order paperwork with accuracy.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements; maintain cleanliness and GMP compliance.
