Job summary

B. Braun Medical Inc. is seeking an engineer to support extrusion production lines and possibly injection molding machines. The role involves process troubleshooting, DOE/ETR leadership, and performing product validations on extrusion and molding processes.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering, experience with plastic part design, and proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D SolidWorks, and CAD/CAM software. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 2-3 years related experience preferred.
  • Domestic travel with remote possibility of international travel.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for process troubleshooting, running DOE’s, ETR’s, leading and assisting with projects, as well as performing product validations on extrusion production lines and possibly injection molding machines.

Preferred: Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor of Science – Plastic and Polymer Engineering
  • Experience with plastic part design
  • Experience with extrusion and injection mold design and working with outside vendors
  • Knowledge of Mold Shop manufacturing processes to be able to apply them to existing and development projects
  • 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks software experience
  • CAD/CAM Software experience.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair or improve products, components or assemblies.
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
  • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
  • Designs and drafts blueprints with designer, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
  • Must be SME in field at higher levels of job.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training , assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Referring only complex problems and issues
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $86,600

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range provided is a reasonable estimate.
