Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a results-driven Aluminum Extrusion Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations. You will analyze process data, troubleshoot defects, and partner with die design teams to reduce scrap and boost yield.

You’ll establish key process parameters—from billet temperatures to quench rates—while leading trial runs, training production personnel, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in extrusion or related engineering role.
• Experienced level required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and optimize aluminum extrusion processes to improve productivity, quality, and yield.
• Analyze process data and implement improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and defects.
• Troubleshoot extrusion-related issues including surface defects, dimensional inconsistencies, and die performance.
• Collaborate with die design teams to improve tooling efficiency, life, and product quality.
• Establish and maintain process parameters for billets, temperature profiles, press speeds, and quenching.
• Train production personnel on process changes and best practices.

salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and optimize aluminum extrusion processes to improve productivity, quality, and yield
• Analyze process data and implement improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and defects
• Troubleshoot extrusion-related issues including surface defects, dimensional inconsistencies, and die performance
• Collaborate with die design teams to improve tooling efficiency, life, and product quality
• Establish and maintain process parameters for billets, temperature profiles, press speeds, and quenching
• Support new product development, including feasibility studies, trial runs, and process validation
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Train production personnel on process changes and best practices
• Maintain document control as related to the duties.
• Utilize various measurement tools for data gathering.
• Prepare and maintain reports as requested
• Comply with established safety rules
• Comply with company policy and procedures
• Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Maintain acceptable attendance in accordance with company policy
• Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the direct supervisor and/or manager
