Job summary

Darnel Group is seeking an Extrusion Pelletizer/Grinder Operator in Charlotte to grind scrap and monitor pelletizing lines, producing pellets per order specs. The role requires strict adherence to safety and quality standards and starts as a temporary position with potential to become a regular employee after 90 days and onboarding.

You will set up grinders, support extrusion operations, log line settings, and report issues to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math in English.
• Forklift certification required.
• Proficient in using measurement tools.
• Must be available to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start up grinders or pelletizers and load material.
• Support extrusion operations including line tasks and grinding scrap.
• Record and monitor scrap grinding operations and line settings.
• Ensure product quality using calipers, scales, micrometers.
• Prepare daily logs, tracking reports, and data entry.
• Identify and report machinery issues to supervisor or maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and area.
• Operate forklift to move materials and prepare for shifts.
• Use PeopleSoft to report production, generate labels, and record consumption.
