Job summary

The position requires basic math, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a willingness to work overtime. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with a background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machinery including saws, stretchers, measuring systems, and walkie riders (license required).
• Inspect material using tape measure, steel ruler, calipers, and protractors to specification.
• Move material between value streams and maintain all tolerances per instructions.
• Inspire teammates to work efficiently, diffuse conflicts and support sound decisions.

JOB TITLE: Operator Level 1 (BWD - Team 6)
REPORTS TO: Department Manager with direction from Team Captain
SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: Week 1: Thursday through Saturday
Week 2: Wednesday through Saturday
6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Bonnell Aluminum is searching for an individual to join our Extrusion team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Assisting/Operating various types of machinery including (but not limited to):
  
  
  • Cut to Length Saws
  
  
  • Stretchers
  
  
  • Ascona Measuring system
  
  
  • Walkie Riders (must have a valid license through Bonnell)
  
  


• Inspecting material to specified instructions using measuring tools, such as:
  
  
  • Tape Measure
  
  
  • Steel Ruler
  
  
  • Venire / Dial Calipers
  
  
  • Protractors
  
  


• Moving material to and from value streams


• Maintaining all specified tolerances per instructions


• Inspiring others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Job Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy loads


• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers).


• Maintain excellent attendance


• Ability to work with little to no supervision


• Able to work overtime, as needed
