Job summary

The D.S. Brown Company, a Gibraltar Industries Company, is seeking an Extrusion Operator for 1st shift at our North Baltimore, Ohio facility. You will load the extruder with rubber, set up parts and wind material, and conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

* $1,000 Sign-On Bonus | $500 at 6 Months of Employment | $500 at 1 Year of Employment *

The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for loading the extruder with rubber and setting up parts and winding material along with all quality control for the part. Measuring size and watching for deformities.

What You’ll Do

• Able to organize and work through a list of priorities
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to load the extruder with rubber material
• Cut cured rubber by customer specifications
• Unload extruder by taking the extruded rubber and winding the finished product
• Package finished product based on specifications
• Ability to read calipers and tape measure

Position Qualifications

• Previous Tow motor/Forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 75lbs on a continuous basis
• Manual pushing and pulling of material/product
• Stand for up to 10 hours a day
• Ability to work in a dirty environment and under extreme temperature conditions
