Job summary

Uponor, Inc. (GF Building Flow Solutions) is seeking an extrusion operator to support our Minnesota-based manufacturing line. The role involves operating specialized extrusion equipment, performing die changes, recording production data, and maintaining quality throughout the process.

No manufacturing experience is required to apply. The position offers 12-hour day shifts (6am–6pm) on a 4x4 schedule, with base pay between $20.50 and $27.22 per hour plus $1 per hour, plus a $1000 welcome bonus

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Good math skills, including familiarity with the metric system.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic mechanical and technical skills required.
• Ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift.
• Manufacturing experience of 1-3 years preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate computer-controlled equipment according to procedures, including die changes, changeovers, in-process checks and adjustments.
• As reels fill to capacity, perform necessary reel changes per written procedures.
• Verify product quality using precision measuring devices to monitor pipe dimensions.
• Record all required data on production reports and maintain 6S in the work area; perform operator preventive maintenance and collect/submit quality samples as required.
• Contribute to lean initiatives and continuous improvement within the production process.
