Job summary

Micropore, Inc. in Elkton, MD (extrusion site in Newark, DE) seeks a Manufacturing Extrusion Operator. You will run extrusion and extraction processes, perform quality checks, and maintain records. The role involves a day shift, four 10‑hour shifts per week with overtime as needed.

Compensation is $20.00–$24.00 per hour with benefits including 401K, medical/dental/vision, LTD/STD, life insurance, and uniform/safety shoe programs. PTO begins after 30–60 days, plus holidays and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Be mechanically inclined.
• Read, write, and comprehend simple work instructions and procedures.

• Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Run extrusion and extraction equipment independently.
• Check tolerances and perform quality inspection of parts.
• Inline QC of manufactured parts and maintain production records.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
• Conduct routine maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain ISO 9001 in-house training tasks.
• Communicate daily progress to Production Manager.
• Attend production, safety, and companywide meetings.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Micropore, Inc. a small manufacturing facility in Elkton, MD that conducts extrusion, extraction, and final packaging of a unique material. Come work with us at our extrusion location at Micropore in Newark, DE. We are looking for manufacturing personnel while we grow astronomically! We make a world-class carbon dioxide adsorbent that is integrated in the US military, 75% of the free world submarines and the anesthesia market.

This position is for the day shift, currently working four (4) 10-hour shifts per week. The schedule may change based on operational needs.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Extrusion Operator's primary responsibility is the operation of the extrusion and extraction process. The Chemical Operator will assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps related to the production process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Run equipment independently


• Check tolerances


• Inline QC of manufactured parts


• Maintain clear and concise records.


• Recognize equipment malfunction and report to Supervisor.


• Conduct routine maintenance on the production equipment.


• Maintain ISO 9001 in-house training tasks.


• Communicate with Production Manager regarding progress daily.


• Attend production, safety, and companywide meetings.


• Maintain neat and orderly work area and equipment.


• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Demonstrated Skills:

• Be mechanically inclined


• Use gauges and measurement instruments and perform a quality inspection of all parts and components.


• Available for shift work and overtime

Schedule:
