Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking an Extrusion Operator in Batavia, IL to lead all extrusion lines (Blown Film or Coater lines) including changeovers, startup, running and shutdown.

The role requires handling 12-hour shifts (7PM – 7AM) on a 4-3 rotation, with pay of $27.74/hour plus comprehensive benefits from day one. You will support operations to achieve world-class safety and quality while training teammates and ensuring adherence to SOPs.

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Able to understand and use basic computer programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to achieve World Class safety and performance.
• Run extrusion jobs according to customer and manufacturing specifications.
• Organize, record, and store resin properly.
• Adjust machine specs, pressures, and equipment for each job.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Coordinate with the extrusion assistant to minimize change-overs and downtime.
• Train the extrusion assistant to perform required duties.

What you'll do:

• Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
• Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, and standard operating procedures.
• Organize, record, and ensure proper storage of resin.
• Adjust machine specifications, pressures, and equipment for each job.
• Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
• Work with and direct the extrusion assistant and other team mates to minimize job change-over and down time.
• Train and direct the extrusion assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
• While also knowing and understanding the role in product safety.
• Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

• Previous manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
• Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
• Frequent use of wrist and hands
• Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
