Plascore in Zeeland, MI is seeking an Extrusion Miter Saw Operator for the Panels division on the 3rd shift (10:30p-6:30a, Sun-Thu). Starting pay is $22.29 per hour with eligibility for a $1,200 onboarding bonus and additional monthly bonuses up to a year.

The role involves cutting aluminum extrusions, inspecting material quality, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather extrusions and cutting materials to cut jobs according to work orders.
• Verify materials used before and after operations (correct quality, color, and material).
• Measure and cut extrusion as stated in work order and illustrated on drawing.
• Accurately adjust blade and guards on saw.
• Interpret drawings for best cutting practices.
• Create fixtures to cut materials to length/angle as needed
• Perform dimensional inspections and inspect for cosmetic flaws on finished cut product.
• Monitor saw and adjust as needed.
• Notify Supervisor/maintenance of equipment concerns.

Currently there is an opening for an Extrusion Miter Saw Operator in our Panels division on 3rd shift: (10:30p - 6:30a. Sunday - Thursday)

$1200 FOR THIS ROLE ONLY.

$100 EVERY 30 DAYS YOU WORK UNTIL 1 YEAR ($1200).

Key Responsibilities

• Gather extrusions and cutting materials to cut jobs according to work orders.
• Verify materials used before and after operations (correct quality, color, and material).
• Measure and cut extrusion as stated in work order and illustrated on drawing.
• Accurately adjust blade and guards on saw.
• Interpret drawings for best cutting practices.
• Create fixtures to cut materials to length/angle as needed
• Perform dimensional inspections and inspect for cosmetic flaws on finished cut product.
• Monitor saw on a regular basis and make changes as needed.
• Notify Supervisor/maintenance of any equipment concerns immediately.
• Read work orders and follow instructions and prioritize work orders.
• Assist staging materials for production.
• Completes necessary paperwork.
• Fill out DMNs for defective products.
• Performs inventory duties as needed.
• Assist other departments as necessary.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
• Continually looks for a way to improve job efficiency and performance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
• Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.

Additional Requirements

• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
