Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a on-site extrusion operator in Haverhill, MA. The role includes setting up and operating extrusion machinery, ensuring product quality and production quotas, and collaborating with machine technicians and supervisors on a rotating 7:00pm–7:00am shift.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of related experience, strong time management and communication skills, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred.
• 2–4 years' related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery to meet production goals.
• Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs (loading materials, adjusting settings, calibrating equipment).
• Monitors production, inspects materials, and tests to meet quality standards and quotas.
• Verifies and tracks materials for inventory and work in progress.
• Troubleshoots equipment and performs routine maintenance.
• Trains and guides machine assistants and new crew members.
• Keeps machinery and area organized per housekeeping and cleanliness rules.
• Follows safety guidelines and wears PPE; reports hazards.
• Completes necessary documentation for internal/external use.
• Coordinates production activities with other departments to address issues.
