Job summary

Hexcel, via ARC Technologies LLC in Amesbury, MA, is seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator I to support RF/EMI material production.

You will set up equipment, operate and package a product family, perform in-process quality checks, maintain records, and ensure a safe, organized work environment. Lifting up to 50 lbs and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience running industrial equipment and being mechanically inclined.
• Able to read and follow work instructions.
• Able to read basic measurement devices and perform simple math.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to read and interpret part drawings is a plus.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow safety policies and procedures including PPE use and safe handling of chemicals.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance a plus.
• Position restricted to U.S. citizens due to government contracts.

Hexcel is currently seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator I at our Amesbury, MA location. Pay Range: $23.36 - $27.76 per hour

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the equipment set up, production and packaging of at least one product family.
• In process quality control of products using measuring devices.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to ensure the process is producing conforming parts.
• Consistently achieves productivity and quality expectations within their work cell.
• Consistently and accurately maintain electronic and written production records to maintain production order tracking, material traceability and consumption.
• Performs accurate and timely completion of cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Proactively participate in our safety-first culture.

• Experience running industrial equipment and mechanically inclined.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Must be able to read basic measurements devices and perform mathematical equations.

• Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices and proper and safe handling of chemicals.
