Job summary

Hexcel Corporation in Amesbury, MA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives across production lines and support tooling and equipment qualification. The role includes managing budgets and standing up new work-cells to improve efficiency and quality.

This position requires interaction with customers and stakeholders to resolve quality issues, support costing activities, and drive innovation in manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects supporting operations in all product lines & supporting departments (CNC programming/machining, Quality Inspection, etc.) to optimize production efficiencies, improve product quality, reduce wastes, and promote safer working conditions.
• Responsible for the specification, sourcing, qualification, and implementation of new tooling & equipment. Manage budgets while standing up new work-cells.
• Support costing/quoting activities for potential new business while identifying risks related to customer requirements, safety, material selection, and manufacturability.
• Provide guidance, training and technical expertise to other engineers to move projects towards successful implementation, achieving cost, throughput, safety, and quality standards.
• Interact with customers and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues with existing products, and provide feedback on new product requirements relative to our manufacturing capabilities.
• Drive innovation through research of emerging technologies in the areas of Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation, Machine Technologies and CAD/CAM software.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

Hexcel is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our Amesbury MA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  Complete salary range for this role: $85,400 - $146,400
