Responsibilities

• Clean extrusion machines by removing grease, wax, pellets, dust and waste materials.
• Keep the floor area free of wax, oil, water, grease and pellets.
• Clean leaks as they occur and perform PM/CM tasks during machine downtime to keep equipment in good condition.

Job Details

Job Location: Houston, TX 77041This position is responsible for providing cleaning services for extrusion machines by removing grease, wax, pellets, dust, and waste materials. The individual is responsible for keeping the machines clean and removing all waste material around the machines.

This position reports to the Production Engineer Manager.

DESCRIPTION

• Keep the floor free of wax, oil, water, grease, and pellets.
• Take advantage of machine downtime for Preventative Maintenance (PM) or Corrective Maintenance (CM) to clean the machine.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work with solvents and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work at high areas (harnesses provided)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor, which involves exposure to loud noises, machinery (including moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts), and varying temperatures. There may also be potential exposure to chemicals, including ammonia, as well as dust.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while on the manufacturing floor.
• Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between multiple facilities during the workday.
