Job summary

Amphenol Charles Industries in Missouri is seeking an Extrusion Operator I to start up and shut down an extrusion line, feed materials, and ensure products meet specifications. You will monitor equipment and adjust as needed for optimal performance.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with a technician, perform tooling changes, inspect first pieces, and document production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational extrusion training a plus.
• 1 year of extrusion operator or related experience required.
• Forklift certification required or within 2 months of hire.
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion materials, processes, and machine operation is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office Applications and OSHA/environmental regulations.
• OSHA and environmental regulations knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down an extrusion line.
• Run line and maintain quality and productivity with extrusion technician support.
• Perform tooling changeovers on the extrusion line.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and monitor output to meet specs.
• Adjust processes to maintain specifications and report issues.
• Complete all documentation for the extruder and line.
• Perform preventive maintenance on extrusion equipment.
• Handle and feed extrusion resin and raw materials correctly.
• Move materials and tooling in the plant.
• Identify and report safety hazards or concerns.
• Assist with other duties as required.
