Job summary

WL Plastics in Statesboro, GA is seeking a Line Operator to support production lines with a focus on operating, caring for, and maintaining extrusion equipment. You will monitor processes, assist with changes, and help improve machine performance on daytime shifts.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, strong communication, basic math, and safety discipline. You will report to the Production Supervisor and may work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with adherence to ISO 9001 quality

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Reading, writing and basic math skills required.
Ability to use and interpret precision instruments, tools, machinery and equipment.
Must work safely in production and be physically capable.
Good organizational skills and time management; capable of multitasking.
Adherence to ISO 9001 quality procedures and cooperation with QA.

Responsibilities

Monitor processes and operate extrusion equipment.
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot to improve machine performance.
Load materials and adjust controls for product specifications.
Document operating conditions and product measurements; report changes to supervisor.
Assist with machine changeovers and line adjustments as needed.
Follow safety policies and wear PPE; work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
