Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an operator for PTFE tube production. You will operate sintering ovens, prepare take-up equipment, and monitor product quality. You will also create SPC charts and record data for MRP, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, ability to work in a team, and adherence to 5S and safety guidelines. Training and entry-level production experience are considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Control lab with test samples from each extrusion.
• Adjust pads on take up according to the size of diameter on manufacturing specifications and change oven profiles according to instructions.
• Communicate number of preforms needed for job based on footage to extrusion department.
• Create SPC chart for new job to track OD.
• Monitor and measure wall thickness, OD and ID of beginning and ending cuts.
• After finished tube is extruded, pressure test with air.
• If needed, run finished tube through roller test before pressure testing with air.
• Fill out Preform Record Form, enter data into MRP, print labels and use scanner to place in stock.
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices.
• Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines.
• Report production issues to Direct Lead.
• Perform work of an equal or lower classification.
• Perform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.

Essential Functions

Minimum Requirements

Education required:

High School diploma or GED

Experience

Production work preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

• High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
• Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.
• Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
• Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
• Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
• Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
